Today is National Dump the Pump Day! The American Public Transportation Association (APTA) encourages you to ride public transportation today and try to make it a part of daily life. A few interesting facts from the APTA fact sheet:

- the U.S. reduces its dependence on foreign oil by 4.2 billion gallons of gas a year by using public transportation AND we save 37 million metric tons of carbon emissions annually
